Kekeli Fisher-Ekoue, the reigning Miss New York US Nation 2025, has officially been crowned as the state representative for this prestigious title. She is not only redefining the meaning of beauty, but also using her platform to advocate for mental health awareness. From the bustling streets of Queens to the bright lights of the national stage, Kekeli is proving that beauty, purpose, and confidence can harmoniously coexist.
Kekeli’s journey with the Miss US Nation Pageant began when she was chosen to represent Queens as Miss Queens US Nation 2025. Her dynamic charisma and confidence quickly garnered attention, propelling her to greater recognition within the organization. This year, she will represent the state of New York at the national pageant in Miami, Florida.
In addition to her pageant achievements, Kekeli has embraced a leadership role within the Miss US Nation family by serving as the host at the prestigious Miss Swimsuit Beauty International US Nation Pageant, a glamorous event held aboard a luxury yacht by Boss Lady Cruises in Manhattan. Kekeli continues to push boundaries, taking every opportunity to grow and engage with her community.
Her passion for modeling was sparked three years ago, inspired by her eldest sister. “I remember as a child watching her get all glammed up for her shoots,” Kekeli recalls. “I loved the idea of being in the spotlight and wanted to pursue modeling because it’s a celebration of individuality and authenticity. Beauty comes in all shapes, sizes, and shades, and I’m proud of the progress the industry has made in embracing diversity.”
As Miss New York US Nation, Kekeli is committed to using her title to build strong relationships within the fashion industry and beyond. She plans to collaborate with models, photographers, stylists, and casting directors to create stunning art and build a meaningful presence in the industry.
Kekeli is also dedicated to giving back through education and advocacy. Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in psychology, she is developing a wellness program aimed at providing a safe space for underprivileged youth to focus on their mental health. “It’s crucial to create community and safe spaces where we can uplift, educate, and provide resources for mental health,” she emphasizes.
In addition to her pageantry and advocacy work, Kekeli has a keen appreciation for high fashion. She admires designers such as Stella Jean, known for her vibrant cultural creativity; Sherri Hill, whose gowns embody timeless elegance; and Ralph Lauren, whose luxury style has inspired her since childhood. “Ralph Lauren’s collections speak to fine living, and I aspire to reflect that elegance in my own wardrobe,” Kekeli says.
Kekeli is passionate about breaking misconceptions about pageantry and modeling. “People often think pageant women can’t make a difference or that we’re not educated. That’s not true,” she asserts. “We have platforms to raise awareness for causes we care about, and many of us are in college or pursuing advanced careers. Confidence and authenticity matter more than size.”
Fearless and full of life, Kekeli is always exploring new experiences and challenging societal norms. “I’m adventurous and curious, and I want to encourage others to explore new things as well,” she says. “My creativity and mindset are expanded by trying new things, and I want to inspire others to do the same.”
