St. Kitts and Nevis to Mark 3rd edition of IGS

Basseterre, St. Kitts and Nevis, March 9th, 2026, FinanceWire

The Investment Gateway Summit (IGS) will return to St. Kitts and Nevis from 17–20 June 2026, marking its third consecutive year in the Federation. The event is expected to bring together international investors, policymakers, authorised agents, and industry professionals to discuss developments in investment migration and explore emerging opportunities across the Caribbean.

The four-day summit is being co-hosted by the Government of St. Kitts and Nevis and the Citizenship Unit (CIU). The programme will include policy discussions, sector-focused investment forums, networking sessions, and site visits designed to provide participants with insight into the country’s economic priorities and investment landscape.

Executive Chairman of the Citizenship Unit, Calvin St. Juste, said the summit aims to facilitate dialogue among government representatives, investors and industry stakeholders while also highlighting the cultural and economic environment of the Federation.

Citizenship Programme Reforms

The summit will take place amid a series of regulatory reforms to the St. Kitts and Nevis Citizenship Programme, which officials say are intended to strengthen governance, compliance, and long-term sustainability.

Key changes include enhanced residency requirements, the introduction of biometric verification systems, strengthened due diligence procedures, and measures aimed at improving transparency and oversight. Government officials are expected to provide updates during the summit regarding implementation timelines and the potential implications for applicants and authorised agents.

Focus on Investment Opportunities

IGS 2026 will also feature discussions on investment opportunities across several sectors identified as priorities for national development. These include real estate, renewable energy, sustainable infrastructure, agriculture and agribusiness, the blue economy, and services such as healthcare, education, and digital innovation.

Sector sessions and networking events will be organised to allow investors, developers, authorised agents and government representatives to exchange information and explore potential partnerships.
