MATW Project Announces Global Qurbani Deployment Across 16 Countries Ahead of Eid al-Adha

Alexandria, United States, April 12th, 2026, FinanceWire

MATW Project announces the coordination of a multi-country Qurbani deployment scheduled for Eid al-Adha 2026, covering 16 countries across the Middle East, Africa, and Asia. The operation is structured to facilitate the delivery of ritual sacrifices to communities experiencing prolonged food insecurity and disrupted access to basic nutrition.

The deployment is set to take place across regions including Gaza, Lebanon, Yemen, Afghanistan, Togo, Chad, Sudan, Bangladesh, Pakistan, and additional locations where access to fresh food remains limited. Distribution channels have been prepared to operate within environments affected by conflict, economic instability, and infrastructure constraints.

Qurbani, observed during Eid al-Adha, involves the sacrifice of livestock in accordance with Islamic practice, with meat allocated for distribution among families, local communities, and individuals facing hardship. In areas with limited access to protein sources, the arrival of Qurbani meat aligns with periods of heightened nutritional need.

The operational model includes procurement, slaughter, processing, and distribution stages managed through local teams and field networks. Each stage is structured to align with religious requirements and to support documented allocation to identified recipient households. Distribution records are maintained to support internal verification processes.

Preparatory work for the Eid al-Adha deployment follows recent Ramadan activities carried out across the same regions. These activities included distributing meals, staple food packs, and essential supplies to households affected by food insecurity. Existing field presence established during Ramadan has been extended to support continuity of operations during the Qurbani period.

In Gaza, where humanitarian conditions remain constrained, distribution planning is aligned with existing aid delivery routes and ongoing infrastructure activity, including groundwater access points serving local populations. In Yemen and Lebanon, coordination with local teams has focused on access logistics and beneficiary identification in areas affected by economic and social disruption. In Togo and Chad, rural distribution networks are being prepared to reach communities with limited market access.

The Qurbani deployment is structured as a time-bound operation linked to the Eid al-Adha observance, with delivery scheduled within designated religious timeframes. Field teams are assigned to oversee compliance with procedural requirements and to support the handling and allocation of meat in accordance with established guidelines.

This initiative forms part of the organisation’s ongoing humanitarian activity across multiple regions, where seasonal programs are integrated with year-round aid efforts. Operational planning reflects regional conditions, access considerations, and the availability of local resources required to carry out distribution.
