Vault Australasia, affiliated with New Zealand’s Commonwealth Vault Group, opens at 22 King William Street.
Vault Australasia has opened its doors at 22 King William Street in Adelaide’s city centre. The private vault rents safe deposit boxes, stores bullion, and sells gold and silver.
Vault Australasia is an independent Australian company. It is affiliated with the Commonwealth Vault Group, which has operated private vaults in New Zealand since 1998, where customers can buy gold bullion and store it at the group’s vaults in Auckland and Christchurch.
In Adelaide, that experience is applied to a single site that brings storage and bullion together.
The opening is timely. Some Australian banks are stepping away from safe custody services, and many of their customers now need a new place for their valuables.
Storage Options for Valuables
A safe deposit box at Vault Australasia can hold documents, jewellery, watches, coins, heirlooms and other valuables, with access whenever the vault is open. Customers often use them for papers that are difficult to replace, such as wills, passports and property titles, and for keepsakes that cannot be bought again.
The company holds no copy of a customer’s key. The vault is monitored by SECOM Security. Emergency access outside opening hours is available on request, and private cages and vaults can be leased for larger needs, with pricing on application.
Gold and Silver Online
Vault Australasia also sells bullion online. Customers can shop gold bars and coins, as well as silver, from selected mints and refiners, with live spot prices displayed as they browse.
Online purchases can be placed straight into the buyer’s own box in the vault. There is no shipping, no collection and no need to hold metal at home.
Before buying for the first time, customers complete identity and proof of address checks.
Gold and silver bought from other dealers can also be stored. Customers can bring existing bullion to the vault and keep it in a private safe deposit box with their other valuables, so it can all be checked in one trip.
Getting Started
The bullion range and box options are online. Customers can ask for box prices and availability, or book a time to see the vault first.
Chief Executive Jerome Concisom said the business serves people who build their wealth gradually.
“People trust us with what matters most to their family, from documents and jewellery to gold collected over many years. Our role is to keep those things safe and to stay here for the long run.”
“For gold and silver buyers, we wanted buying and storing to happen under one roof. You can order a bar online and know it is already sitting in your box. What your family builds here will still be here.”
Opening hours are 10.00am to 6.00pm, Monday to Friday.
