Experienced real estate investment professional brings nearly a decade of experience across multifamily acquisitions, underwriting, and asset management.
(EZ Newswire) — RRA Capital, a commercial real estate bridge lender and private credit firm, today announced the appointment of Alec Anson as Director of Multifamily Investments. Anson will report to Chief Investment Officer Ted Van Brunt and will focus on evaluating multifamily investment opportunities and helping guide the firm’s strategy within the sector.
Anson brings nearly a decade of experience across real estate investing, underwriting, asset management, and transaction advisory. Most recently, he served as a commercial underwriter with Western Alliance Bank’s National Build Finance group, where he evaluated complex financing opportunities involving build-to-rent communities, large-scale residential developments, and land development projects.
Previously, Anson served as Director of Underwriting at Acanthus Development, where he built financial underwriting models for senior living investments and worked closely with lenders, equity partners, and other stakeholders throughout the capitalization process.
Anson also spent more than five years at Button Capital, where he was involved in acquisitions, financing, due diligence, and asset management for multifamily and mixed-use investments. During his tenure, he helped manage a portfolio of more than 4,000 multifamily units across markets including Florida, Texas, Boston, and Phoenix.
“Alec brings a valuable combination of multifamily investment experience, disciplined underwriting and hands-on portfolio management,” said Ted Van Brunt, Chief Investment Officer at RRA Capital. “His understanding of both debt and equity will strengthen our ability to evaluate opportunities across the capital stack and support the continued growth of our multifamily investment strategy.”
“RRA Capital has built a remarkable track record through thoughtful investing and strong execution,” said Anson. “I’m excited to join an established team with ambitious growth plans and look forward to the continued expansion of the firm’s multifamily investment platform.”
Anson began his career in Ernst & Young’s real estate transaction advisory practice. He studied finance at the W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University and completed a certificate in international business.
